Enkei began in 1950 as Enshu Keigokin Co. Ltd. in Japan, initially manufacturing a variety of aluminum parts.
It officially entered the wheel market in 1967 after opening its first dedicated wheel factory and started exporting products to the U.S. in 1969. Through its history, Enkei has supplied OEM wheels to major automakers, developed advanced technologies like MAT for wheel manufacturing, and gained a strong reputation in motorsports, including a partnership with the McLaren F1 team since 1995.
